Project description
Design and construction of the new fifth runway, the Polderbaan, including taxiways for entering the runway.
Special details
During the first phase, the standard Schiphol design concepts regarding configurations of the lighting systems and technical applications were evaluated.
The project was realized in three phases and included adjustments to the existing Zwanenburgbaan.
Involvement Deerns
Deerns designed the installation for the lighting systems of runway and taxiway. Deerns also designed the infrastructure.
Besides the preliminary design, final design and cost estimation, Deerns also prepared tender documents and provided advisory services during construction.
