The floating pavilion Autarc will be built. On the 12th of November the final contracts will be signed during a press conference at the office of architect Paul de Ruiter.

The exposition and office pavilion is a showcase of sustainability. The pre-assessment for a BREEAM label already took place and the result is an expected ‘Outstanding’ label! This will be a first in The Netherlands!

Deerns designed the autarcic concept and the engineering for the pavilion. Using, amongst others, PV-panels, a windturbine and heat-exchange with surface water, the Autarc strives to be independent in it’s energy supply. It’s all in the name!

The team responsible for the development of the project exists of a variation of firms, all known for their strong focus on sustainability.

The press conference will take place on the 12th of November at architectural firm Paul de Ruiter in Amsterdam between 12.00 – 14.00 pm. Naturally Deerns will be present to answer any questions about our innovative designs.
